time for a run!

Where zoomies are encouraged and the conditions are always perfect.

“So fun for our wirehaired pointing griffon. He took to it the first time and didn’t want to stop!
It helped me too as I was recovering from surgery and hadn’t been able to walk the dog.. ”
— Autumn & "Harold"
“My pup Luca had the BEST time running with Stefanie! He was a little nervous about the treadmill at first, but gained so much confidence with all the treats, praise, and support Stefanie provided.
I would strongly recommend for dogs needing an outlet for their energy or on a weight loss journey.”
— Isabella & "Luca"
“So nice, great communication and a fantastic way to exercise my dog who is still getting comfortable on a leash. He runs to the van in excitement every time.”
— Annie & "Roper"
“What I love most is how patient they are. My dog set the pace, they encouraged gently, and there was zero stress on him. The whole experience felt safe and fun, not rushed at all. My pup looks forward to every session (which says a lot)!”
— Tera & "Boone"

“My husband and I came across Barks and Rec during my third trimester while we were looking for ways to keep our two dogs active during postpartum (and fire season). Stefanie has been a lifeline for us, especially those first few sleep-deprived weeks. She met our dogs right where they were comfort-wise; one took to the treadmill immediately and the other needed much more encouragement. She is patient, kind, and the very best dog cheerleader! Now both dogs race to the door every time they hear the Barks and Rec van pull up!”
— Becky, "Nebula & August"
“Bend Barks and Rec is hands-down one of the best things in Bend for dogs and their humans. From start to finish you can tell they genuinely care about your dog and treats every one like their own. You can tell they understand dog behavior, safety, and enrichment—not just “watching dogs,” but actually engaging them.

The van is well-run, clean, and thoughtfully set up. Communication is excellent, whether it’s scheduling, updates, or just peace of mind knowing your dog is in good hands. My dog comes home happy, tired, and excited to go back—which says everything.

If you’re looking for a place you can actually trust with your dog, Bend Barks and Rec is it. Highly recommend.”
— Zak & "Rae"
